The Sector’s presence has increased to cover over 3.4 million SQM across ZonesCorp and KIZAD
Abu Dhabi, UAE - 04 January 2022 – AD Ports Group today announced that its Economic Cities & Free Zones Cluster is now home to 95 companies in the polymers sector occupying a land area of 3,454,457 square metres.
AD Ports Group has also witnessed an increasing interest from polymer sector in its Economic Cities & Free Zones Cluster, which is spread across 550 sq km of industrial and commercial land, and is home to over 1,500 local, regional, and international companies. Based on a Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi survey, the total investment in the Cluster is estimated at more than AED 140 billion. Today ZonesCorp and KIZAD serve as the regional base for some of the best known companies of varying scale in the plastics and polymer sector.
According to a report by Fortune Business Insights, the global polymer market is expected to grow from $439.28 billion in 2021 to $616.82 billion by 2028, at a combined annual growth rate of 5 per cent between 2021 and 2028, due to its multitude of applications across FMCG, food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and more.
