Noatum Logistics Accelerates GCC Growth by Doubling Its Trucking Fleet to Over 850 Units

The expansion strengthens cross-border connectivity while boosting customer control, flexibility and business continuity across regional supply chains Abu Dhabi, UAE – 28 October 2026: Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), is accelerating its regional growth strategy by doubling its trucking fleet to more than 850 units as it continues to invest in capacity, service excellence and supply chain agility across the Middle East and the GCC. The investment significantly expands the company’s owned fleet, further advancing the Group’s vision to build Noatum Logistics into a leading global and regional logistics player. Delivered in batches over the past six months, the new fuel-efficient units meet the Euro 5 emissions standard and have been fully integrated into Noatum Logistics' regional operations. The company now operates one of the largest and most modern heavy transport fleets in the UAE, enabling it to serve customers across regional borders with greater efficiency and operational control. The expansion strengthens Noatum Logistics' predominantly owned and operated GCC fleet, supporting its growing portfolio of freight forwarding, contract logistics and project logistics services across the region. Most importantly, the larger fleet will enable the company to offer overland cross-border transport as an in-house capability, opening new opportunities to serve clients with regional overland supply chain requirements. Thorsten Pook, Managing Director, Noatum Logistics – Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & CIS, said: “This investment is about much more than adding trucks. It is about building the capabilities that enable us to stay closer to our customers, deliver greater certainty and efficiency across their supply chains, and respond quickly to changing market conditions. As Noatum Logistics continues to build momentum both internationally and across the region, our expanded fleet will play a vital role in empowering our customers to move faster, reach further and grow with confidence.” As a distinctive regional offering, Noatum Logistics has combined the reach of its expanded fleet with its dedicated rail shuttle service connecting Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals. The two modes are highly complementary in terms of volumes, capacity and time requirements, providing clients with a flexible multimodal solution that has already proven effective during recent regional disruption. The solution enables access to alternative overland bonded corridors connecting the UAE's industrial heartland with unaffected regional sea and air transport hubs, strengthening business continuity and supply chain visibility. Alongside the expanded fleet, Noatum Logistics is investing in advanced digital monitoring capabilities. Every vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking and connected to a centralised control tower, providing real-time visibility of fleet performance, transit status and asset utilisation. This enhanced oversight enables customers to better monitor shipments and maintain greater control across their supply chains. Backed by AD Ports Group, Noatum Logistics continues to expand its multimodal network, building a highly connected logistics platform that combines global reach with local expertise and tailored execution.

Khalifa Port Rises Five Positions to 34th in Lloyd’s List Top 100 Container Ports Ranking

Khalifa Port records highest year-on-year throughput growth among the ‎world’s top 40 container ports in the 2026 ranking Abu Dhabi’s flagship port handled 6.6 million TEUs in 2025, up 21.6% year-‎on-year Abu Dhabi, UAE – 27 October 2026: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading ‎global enabler of integrated trade, industry and logistics solutions, announced that its ‎flagship port, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, has advanced five positions to rank 34th globally ‎in the prestigious Lloyd’s List Top 100 Container Ports 2026, marking further significant ‎progress among the world’s leading container ports.‎ The latest ranking based on 2025 results reflects the combined performance of Khalifa ‎Port’s three container terminals, which are operated with leading global shipping lines ‎CMA CGM, COSCO, and MSC. Together, they handled 6.6 million TEUs (twenty-foot ‎equivalent units) in 2025, representing an increase of 21.6% compared with 5.42 million ‎TEUs in 2024.‎ Khalifa Port recorded the highest percentage increase among the world’s top 40 ‎container ports in the 2026 ranking. The port advanced five places from 39th in the ‎previous edition of the ranking. ‎ Since first entering the global ranking in 95th position in 2019, Khalifa Port has advanced ‎‎61 positions. This sustained progression reflects AD Ports Group’s continued investment ‎in world-class infrastructure, increased capacity, advanced technology and operational ‎efficiency, supported by a growing network of international shipping line connections and ‎strong long-term terminal operator partnerships.‎ Recognised as a leading industry benchmark, Lloyd’s List ranks the world’s container ‎ports according to their annual throughput. Khalifa Port’s advancement underscores the ‎growing scale of its operations and its contribution to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position ‎as a global centre for trade, logistics and industry.‎ The strong performance in 2025 was driven by increased terminal utilisation, robust ‎market demand, and the addition of new capacity. CMA Terminals Khalifa Port, the ‎Group’s container terminal with CMA CGM, was a key contributor to this growth, ‎handling more than 1.3 million TEUs during its first full year of operation, following its ‎inauguration in January 2025.‎ Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer, Ports Cluster – AD Ports Group, said: ‎‎“Khalifa Port’s rise to 34th in the Lloyd’s List ranking reflects the strength of our long-term ‎vision and our continued commitment to operational excellence. A 21.6% increase in ‎container throughput, alongside a five-place rise in the global ranking, demonstrates the ‎progress achieved through sustained investment in infrastructure, capacity, technology ‎and connectivity. This achievement is also a testament to the dedication of our teams, ‎the confidence of our customers and the value of our strategic partnerships. We will ‎continue investing in capacity, connectivity, and innovative solutions that strengthen our ‎role as a world-class gateway for trade, and reinforce the UAE’s position within global ‎supply chains.”‎ Khalifa Port hosts three advanced container terminals: Abu Dhabi Terminals with MSC, ‎CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal with COSCO, and CMA Terminals Khalifa Port. Together, these ‎terminals provide customers with extensive connectivity to major international markets, ‎scalable capacity, and access to AD Ports Group’s integrated trade and logistics ‎ecosystem.‎ The ongoing expansion of CMA Terminals Khalifa Port will increase the terminal’s annual ‎handling capacity by almost 50% to 2.7 million TEUs. Once completed, the development ‎will raise Khalifa Port’s total annual container-handling capacity to 10.5 million TEUs.‎ Serving as a comprehensive logistics gateway, Khalifa Port integrates sea, road, and rail ‎connectivity. Its connection to AD Ports Group’s inland logistics network, dry ports, cargo ‎facilities and industrial zones supports efficient cargo movement locally, and provides ‎customers with greater flexibility across their regional and global supply chains.‎ Through continued investment, strategic partnerships, and integrated trade and logistics ‎solutions, AD Ports Group remains committed to advancing its global competitiveness, ‎and to supporting the UAE’s long-term economic diversification.

AD Ports Group Reports Progress in Reducing the Emissions Intensity of Operations in 2025

6% reduction in emissions intensity driven by increasing operational ‎efficiencies, and use of solar energy, low-impact fuels, and electric ‎vessels 10,303 tonnes of waste diverted from disposal in 2025 through recycling 23% increase in recycling of non-hazardous waste versus 2024‎ Abu Dhabi, UAE – 19 October 2026: AD Ports Group, a leading global enabler of ‎integrated trade, industry and logistics solutions, (ADX: ADPORTS), announced the ‎release of its 2025 Sustainability Report, in which it highlights significant progress in ‎its decarbonisation plans, including a 6% reduction in emissions intensity per unit of ‎revenue.‎ The report reflects AD Ports Group’s gains in mitigating the environmental impact of ‎its integrated global trade, transport, logistics, and economic development activities, ‎through measures such as increased operating efficiencies and the use of solar ‎electricity, lower-impact maritime fuels, and electric-powered vessels.‎ The Group’s total emissions intensity, which calculates tonnes of carbon ‎dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) per AED 1 million in revenue across emissions ‎Scopes 1, 2 and 3, fell by 6% to 190.68 tCO₂e in 2025 from 203.06 tCO₂e in ‎‎2024. The reduction demonstrates the Group’s progress in decoupling ‎emissions from its business operations, strengthening energy productivity ‎whilst advancing its decarbonisation objectives.‎ The Group achieved this reduction in emissions intensity during a year in which ‎revenue rose 20%, to AED 20.77 billion, amidst its ongoing global expansion. It also ‎purchased 47,960 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable energy certificates (RECs), ‎which lowered the emissions intensity of energy the company used for electricity, ‎heating, and cooling.‎ In 2025, the Group adopted a decarbonisation pathway covering its operations and ‎value chain, with 139 initiatives planned between 2025 and 2050. The pathway is ‎aligned with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 2°C and supports ‎the UAE Net Zero 2050 strategic initiative. The initiatives are backed by a projected ‎investment of USD 636 million over 25 years and target a cumulative reduction of 2.9 ‎million tCO2e. ‎ Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Abu Dhabi Maritime CEO and Group Chief ‎Sustainability & Risk Officer of AD Ports Group, said: " Defining a pathway to net ‎zero across a global business of AD Ports Group's scale is a significant achievement ‎and reflects our commitment to sustainable growth and value creation. The Group ‎continued to advance its decarbonisation journey as the business grew robustly in ‎‎2025, reducing the total emissions intensity of our business per AED 1 million of ‎revenue by 6% from 2024 levels through greater efficiencies and the use of solar and ‎alternative energy. This shows the substantial progress we are making in decoupling ‎emissions from business expansion. By embedding decarbonisation into our business ‎strategy, we are positioning the Group for lasting emissions reductions while ‎strengthening operational resilience and competitiveness, and the progress achieved ‎to date reinforces our conviction that sustainable growth is achievable at scale.”‎ The Group is committed to successively leveraging solar energy, low-emissions fuels, ‎CO2 credits, and the large-scale electrification of its ports, logistics, and maritime and ‎shipping businesses through 2050 to grow sustainably.‎ The Group’s decarbonisation strategy is integrated into its corporate decision-making ‎matrix to drive emissions reduction. Decarbonisation targets focus on accelerating ‎adoption of renewable energy, advancing fleet decarbonisation and fuel transition, ‎and investing in low-carbon infrastructure to support a multi-fuel future. Executive ‎compensation of the Group’s senior management is linked in part to achievement of ‎sustainability targets. ‎ In 2025, the Group introduced several initiatives that supported the reduction of ‎emissions intensity, including the use of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered Pure ‎Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) vessels in its United Global Ro-Ro venture, ship-to-‎ship LNG bunkering (fuelling), and the launch of plans with Nimex Terminals to ‎develop LNG and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminal hubs at Khalifa Port.‎ The Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster, which generated 51% of Group revenue ‎during the year, generated 50% of the Group’s emissions in 2025, followed by Ports, ‎‎24%, Logistics, 21%, and Economic Cities & Free Zones, 5%.‎ The Group also diverted 10,303 tonnes of waste in 2025, up 24% from 8,341 tonnes ‎in 2024, including 10,127 tonnes of non-hazardous waste, a 23% increase compared ‎with 8,247 tonnes recycled in the previous year.‎ Amidst strong growth in Group revenue, total emissions, which includes Scope 1-3 ‎emissions from the Group’s own activities and those of its entire value chain including ‎suppliers and customers, rose 13% to 3,957,755 tCO2e in 2025 from 3,510,131 ‎tCO2e in 2024, which was less than the 20% growth in Group revenue.‎ To read the full report, please click here.

KEZAD-based Arabian Gulf Steel Industries Achieves Lowest Verified Carbon Footprint for Rebar

CARES UK verified Environmental Product Declaration confirms 139 kg CO₂e per ‎tonne for rebar produced at AGSI’s KEZAD Abu Dhabi facility Abu Dhabi, UAE – 13 October 2026: Arabian Gulf Steel Industries, AGSI, the UAE’s ‎largest private steelmaker and recycler, has achieved the lowest verified carbon footprint ‎for rebar, marking a major step for low-carbon construction materials produced in the ‎UAE.‎ AGSI’s reinforcing bar produced in Abu Dhabi has a verified cradle-to-gate carbon ‎footprint of 139 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent per tonne, well below the typical 600 to ‎‎700 kg per tonne for scrap-based rebar. Its Sharjah operations record 218 kg CO₂e per ‎tonne. Both figures are also below the nearest comparable publicly available EPD figure ‎of 300 kg CO₂e per tonne.‎ The achievement was announced at Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, KEZAD Group ‎headquarters, in the presence of Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO, Khalifa ‎Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, Asam Hussain, Founder and CEO of ‎Arabian Gulf Steel Industries, and Ayhan Tugrul, Chief Operating Officer of CARES.‎ The announcement brings together AGSI’s manufacturing capability, the independent ‎verification provided under the CARES EPD programme and KEZAD’s industrial ‎infrastructure. It also supports the growing use of verified product-level carbon data ‎across the construction sector, where developers, contractors, consultants and ‎regulators increasingly need clear information on embodied carbon.‎ Asam Hussain, Founder and CEO of Arabian Gulf Steel Industries, said: “This is a ‎defining achievement for AGSI and for the UAE steel industry. Low-carbon steel ‎production is no longer a future ambition. It is measurable, verified and being delivered ‎today. Our 2024 carbon-neutral plant milestone established the direction of our journey, ‎and this EPD takes that progress further, setting a new benchmark for what can be ‎achieved in low-carbon steel production. We set out to push the boundaries for steel ‎decarbonisation, and we will continue to challenge what is possible.” ‎ Abdullah Al Hameli, Chief Executive Officer, Economic Cities and Free Zones, AD ‎Ports Group, added: “AGSI’s achievement is a significant milestone for Abu Dhabi’s ‎industrial sector, establishing the company as a world leader in steel decarbonisation and ‎adding to Abu Dhabi’s standing as a global hub for advanced industry. It’s a strong ‎example of the level of performance that manufacturers operating within KEZAD can ‎achieve. KEZAD provides the infrastructure, utilities, logistics access and long-term ‎operating base that manufacturers need to grow and invest. AGSI’s success highlights ‎the strength of Abu Dhabi’s industrial base in enabling companies to advance efficient ‎and lower-carbon production and compete at the highest levels internationally.”‎ Ayhan Tugrul, Chief Operating Officer of CARES, said: “AGSI’s reinforcing steel is ‎already certified to the CARES scheme for quality and traceability, and this ‎independently verified EPD now sets out its product carbon footprint on the same ‎rigorous basis. Verified, product-specific data of this kind is what allows designers, ‎contractors and asset owners to make sound decisions on embodied carbon rather than ‎relying on generic industry averages. It also strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a ‎growing centre for advanced industrial production and lower-carbon construction ‎materials.”‎ Both AGSI results cover production from raw materials to the factory gate and have ‎been independently verified against recognised international standards. The full ‎Environmental Product Declarations, EPDs, are available on the CARES website. For a ‎fair comparison, EPDs must use the same rules, measurement method and production ‎boundaries. The figures quoted here have been compared on that basis.‎ Embodied carbon is the carbon linked to a material across its life cycle. It is becoming an ‎important requirement in major construction and infrastructure projects. EPDs give ‎buyers and project teams a verified and consistent way to assess and compare the ‎environmental impact of products.‎ AGSI’s latest result builds on its 2024 carbon-neutral plant milestone under PAS 2060. It ‎now extends that performance to the product level. AGSI uses 100% locally recycled ‎scrap and a fully electrified production process.‎ AGSI’s verified low-carbon rebar gives the market a local material option that supports ‎quality, supply reliability and carbon reporting needs. It also strengthens Abu Dhabi’s ‎position as a growing centre for advanced industrial production and lower-carbon ‎construction materials.

Etihad Rail and AD Ports Group Launch Integrated Rail Service, Connecting Fujairah Terminals with Abu Dhabi’s Industrial Heartland

New Fujairah-ICAD rail service and customs-enabled inland gateway bring ‎port services closer to customers across Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi, UAE – 20 September 2026: Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National ‎Rail Network, and AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a global enabler of integrated ‎trade, industry and logistics solutions, have partnered to launch a direct rail service ‎connecting Fujairah Terminals with the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD).‎ The integrated inland logistics rail depot solution, linking one of the UAE’s East Coast ‎maritime gateways on the Gulf of Oman with the nation’s industrial heartland in the ‎capital Abu Dhabi, combines a new dedicated rail freight service, and a customs-enabled ‎inland cargo gateway designed to bring trade closer to customers.‎ Developed in partnership with AD Ports Group, Etihad Rail extends the reach of Fujairah ‎Terminals beyond the port gates by enabling cargo arriving in Fujairah to be transported ‎directly by rail approximately 200 km to ICAD, where customers can access customs ‎clearance, inspection and cargo release services.‎ A key milestone underpinning the launch is the designation of ICAD with its own UN ‎LOCODE “AECAD”, establishing it as a recognised international logistics location within ‎global shipping and trade systems. For the first time, shipping lines, freight forwarders, ‎and cargo owners can book cargo directly to ICAD as the destination and clearance ‎point. Combined with dedicated customs and inspection infrastructure, this enables ‎containers arriving at Fujairah Terminals to be transported directly by rail to ICAD for ‎inspection, clearance, and release, simplifying customs processes, reducing handling ‎requirements, and accelerating the movement of goods across Abu Dhabi.‎ The solution is designed to serve importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and ‎logistics providers operating across Abu Dhabi, allowing them to receive cargo closer to ‎warehouses, production facilities, and end markets. The new service  offers customers ‎reliable schedules, reduced road congestion, enhanced scalability for high-volume cargo ‎movements and lower carbon emissions compared with traditional long-haul trucking. ‎Operating three times per week, the dedicated Etihad Rail service connects Fujairah ‎Terminals with ICAD, strengthening multimodal cargo flows across the corridor.‎ Omar Alsebeyi, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Rail Freight, said: "The launch of our ‎new Fujairah-ICAD rail service represents another important step in unlocking the full ‎potential of the UAE National Rail Network for our customers. Through our partnership ‎with AD Ports Group, we have created an innovative logistics solution that goes beyond ‎transportation by bringing key port services closer to where cargo is ultimately needed. ‎By combining rail connectivity with customs-enabled inland cargo handling and the ability ‎to book cargo directly to ICAD, we are helping customers move goods more efficiently, ‎simplify logistics processes, and reduce the time between vessel arrival and final ‎delivery."‎ Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer, Ports Cluster – AD Ports Group, said: ‎‎“Strong trade corridors are built by connecting gateways with the industrial and ‎commercial ecosystems they serve. The integrated service brings together Fujairah ‎Terminals, the UAE National Rail Network and ICAD (AECAD) as part of a more ‎connected system, extending the reach of our port infrastructure beyond the terminal ‎and bringing essential services closer to customers. Through our partnership with Etihad ‎Rail, we are enabling  seamless, reliable and resilient cargo flows, while providing ‎businesses with greater flexibility in how they access markets and manage their supply ‎chains. This seamless approach strengthens connectivity across the trade ecosystem, ‎supports long-term growth and reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a gateway of choice ‎for trade and industry.” ‎ The launch of the service reinforces the shared commitment of Etihad Rail and AD Ports ‎Group to strengthening the UAE’s logistics and trade infrastructure through greater ‎connectivity, innovation, and customer-focused supply chain solutions. By combining the ‎capabilities of Fujairah Terminals with the reach of the UAE National Rail Network with an ‎inland gateway offering customs and cargo handling services, the partnership is helping ‎create a more efficient and resilient logistics ecosystem for businesses operating across ‎the country.‎ As part of the wider AD Ports Group ecosystem, Fujairah Terminals plays a vital role in ‎delivering integrated, end-to-end supply chain solutions, connecting ports, industrial and ‎free zones, logistics platforms, and digital services. Through its comprehensive service ‎offering and strategic location, Fujairah Terminals supports the UAE's position as a global ‎logistics and trade hub, strengthening connectivity across the GCC, India, the Red Sea, ‎and East Africa.‎
