Double success for KIZAD at FDI Global Free Zone Awards 2018

KIZAD picks up accolades in both the specialism and bespoke categories

KIZAD has won two accolades in this year’s fDi Global Free Zone of the Year Awards, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading industrial and free zone hubs.

The awards scheme is run by fDi magazine, part of the Financial Times, and recognises the most promising free zones around the world.

KIZAD, one of the largest industrial zones in the Middle East and a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports, won a Specialism Award for Construction as well as a Bespoke Award for a number of initiatives, including its smart strategy and its ongoing investments in infrastructure development, connectivity, sustainability and pioneering services and solutions.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, said: “Our success at the fDi Global Free Zone of the Year Awards 2018 in two important categories reflects not only our commitment to transforming Abu Dhabi’s maritime infrastructure but also to attracting foreign direct investment to the Emirate, helping to grow and diversify the economy.”
