Abu Dhabi, UAE – 24 November 2021 - AD Ports Group and Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to aid efforts aimed at supporting people of determination and enabling them to achieve their aspirations and actively contribute to the nation’s development.
The MoU reflects AD Ports Group’s commitment to its social responsibility and support for all segments of society, as well as its dedication to driving cooperation with the leading national firms in joint social and humanitarian work
As per the agreement signed by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO, AD Ports Group, in the presence of officials from both firms, AD Ports Group will provide ZHO with fully equipped retail space at Marsa Mina, a vibrant retail and F&B hub at Zayed Port, which will allow people of determination to display their commercial products.
Maqta Gateway, the digital arm of AD Ports Group, will also be providing the organisation with access to IBTIKAR platform, which was developed to compile innovative ideas and suggestions submitted by employees, customers, and stakeholders. To date, the platform has produced thousands of ideas, of which several have already been turned into successful projects including Marsa Mina.
As part of the MoU, ZHO will deliver sign language training programmes for AD Ports Group’s employees, as well as printing awareness brochures in Braille for AD Ports Group’s customers of determination.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination welcomed the collaboration with AD Ports Group and thanked the team for their cooperation, noting that ZHO is keen to exchange Chaired by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is a government entity under the Department of Community Developments, which was established in April 19, 2004, as an umbrella for all humanitarian bodies, social services, people of determination institutions and any future bodies established in Abu Dhabi for humanitarian goals.
With centres and clubs for People of Determination across Abu Dhabi, ZHO provides a range of integrated services that aim at rehabilitating disabled people for inclusion into the community. These services include training and education, vocational and therapeutic rehabilitation (assessment, early intervention, physiotherapy, functional therapy, speech therapy, and vocational training workshops), psychological care, family counselling, as well as supporting educational and sport activities.Download Arabic Press Release Here
